I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Kansas Alzheimer’s Disease Center. My relevant work experience includes the study of quality of life among people with AD and AD education interventions to reduce health disparities among Latino in the US. My current sub-speciality expertise is in AD health disparities and my career goal is to become an independent health disparities researcher in AD prevention through lifestyle modification. My most specific achievement is that I have piloted a short AD awareness intervention to reduce AD knowledge disparities among Latinos in Kansas City. I have a PH.D. in Biomedicine and Public Health and a Master’s in Public Health. I have published 16 scientific papers in internationally renowned journals. I have appeared in a 3 minute interview on Univision Kansas City and three radio programs on health in Spanish language.
