Patty Dunn is the Executive Director of Alzheimer’s Mississippi, Inc., formerly Alzheimer’s Association MS Chapter. At Alzheimer’s Mississippi, Ms. Dunn is responsible for ensuring that the mission and goals of the organization is carried out in all 82 counties in Mississippi. Ms. Dunn provides executive leadership in developing and implementing strategic plans, policies, procedures, and services to those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
Further, Ms. Dunn serves as a spokesperson for the organization, leadership for the Board of Directors, maintains the soundness of the financial structure and ensures support for the advocacy efforts. Ms. Dunn served on the Mississippi Caregiver Task Force, is an Alzheimer’s Planning Council member for MS Department of Mental Health Division of Alzheimer’s, is a leader on the Advisory Council for the State Strategic Plan on Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias, is a member of the MS Advisory Board for Coordinated Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion and is a member of the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program Leadership Team. Most recently Ms. Dunn was named one of Mississippi Business Journal’s 50 Leading Business Women of 2015.
Ms. Dunn received her BBA from Texas Christian University and her MBA from Millsaps College. Ms. Dunn has been the Executive Director of Alzheimer’s Mississippi for over 5 years and has been with the Alzheimer’s Mississippi for over ten years.
