Thomas Joe Harvey Jr. is a life long resident of Mississippi and is the Director of Public Policy, Advocacy and Communications at Alzheimer’s Mississippi. His responsibilities include working with elected officials and state agencies to bring Alzheimer’s disease and related issues to the forefront of public health policy, managing advocacy events and meetings, and public awareness activities and media relations.
He is a member of the working committee for the State of Mississippi Strategic Plan for Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias and serves on the Mississippi Caregiver Task Force.
Thomas has seven years combined experience in Mississippi politics. His responsibilities included working closely with the state executive and state legislatures, oversight of county political party organization, primary election operations, issue research, as well as managing and developing list databases.
Thomas received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mississippi State University in 2006.
